To scale the Makers Making Change model of skilled volunteer makers creating AAC/AT solutions to Northern California

To implement a network of AT trainers to
improve the assistive technology training of blind students

To create a professional learning community serving Deaf Plus children through hands-on trainings, onsite
observations, annual partner summits

To leverage UCLA’s research expertise to study abilities and needs of those who communicate non-verbally and improve professional methodologies.

Provide workshops to build capacity and skills of care professionals working with adults with IDDs, many of
whom have complex communication needs.

To train 75-100 professionals and other supporters of
AAC users on best practices and strategies to improve communication.

To expand Speech Hub services by increasing group
speech therapy paired with parent education and delivering services in two low-income neighborhoods.

To ensure that Hope Services’ Board of Directors and
staff are all working toward the same clearly identified and delineated goals for the agency.

To cultivate and develop our leadership team and fundraising tools, growing our capacity and ensuring
meaningful community supports for years to come

To develop a formal process of identifying and training emerging leaders within UCP of Sacramento and
Northern California.
